Celeste's Harlem Renaissance

I just started reading a book called Celeste's Harlem Renaissance by Eleanora E. Tate. Throughout the book Celeste has a great twist in her life. In the beginning she is forced to live with her aunt who is an actress but doesn't live in Celeste hometown. She doesn't feel comfortable leaving all her friends behind and leaving everything she had behind in North Carolina. Celeste is just a child and she has a bunch of stress on top of her. It seems like Celeste will manage to get through all this. Is Celeste strong enough? Or will she not make it living with her aunt?

Celeste faces a big problem in her life, leaving all her friends behind as she needs to live some where else. In the book Celeste realizes that she needs to move to her aunts home but she doesn't want to leave the people she cares about behind. "I was a winner! I wasn't going to let either my aunt or the sun ruin it." I think that even though Celeste has to live with her aunt, that it may be okay and that even though its a change for her, she still overcomes the obstacles that come to her. Celeste saying she was a winner was actually a way of showing people she was a strong little girl even though she left what she loved behind.

Celeste faces the problem of leaving her home town and feeling uncomfortable and scared that she won't be able to feel comfortable in a big city. The book was described by the author and the author telling us how Celeste lived in North Carolina and had to go live in a big city which she wasn't use to living at. "She is not thrilled to trade her friends and comfortable North Carolina surroundings for a scary big city life." When the author of the book tells us that, it shows how much of a change Celeste is going to go through and that it will be hard for her to handle. It seems like Celeste has a lot of conflicts coming to her, leaving the country may be hard but living in a city is much harder. 

Celeste goes through a lot of struggles in the book. Even though i have only read a few chapters of the book it seems like Celeste childhood isn't so great. In the rest of the book i think that everything will get better. Celeste and her aunt will be best friends. They will get along. There might be a chance that she loves the city and loves living with her aunt. Even if she does have to go through a change i think Celeste will overcome anything that comes in her way.
